Presentation College reached out to Transformational Partners for support navigating program partnership with another institution and, ultimately, closure for the campus. TPF provided specific support for developing comprehensive communications and assisting students in transitioning to a new institutional home in partnership with College Possible.
Working with TPF provided us with the support necessary to transition responsibly and with dignity for all constituents. That support enabled us to focus on the people affected by the partnership and closure and to assist them every step of the way.
Presentation College was pleased to place 88% of our students in each Out institutions for the very next semester following closure. This compares to only 47% of students nationally who complete their college educations when their college or university closes. We developed a record 36 Teach-Out agreements for students. We were also able to develop comprehensive messaging and support to assist other constituents with transition support, including faculty and staff, who quickly found other employment.
Even as we worked to develop and get accreditor approval for a record 36 Teach-Out agreements to provide the most options for students in their institutional transition, TPF provided us with funds to hire a team from College Possible to come in to work directly with students on placement and to track their enrollment at these other institutions. This support was invaluable as our own college advisors were managing their own next steps following the closure news and actively searching for other employment. Furthermore, TPF provided support for identifying the various constituent groups needing to be notified of closure so that we could develop comprehensive messaging in advance of the announcement. Having these critical measures in place pre-announcement assured we were prepared to respond to the all of the needs of the vast array of constituents we served rather than working from a reactionary position.
